Kiefer Price has been named offensive coordinator at Misericordia University, head football coach John Davis has announced.

“Coach Price and I share a coaching philosophy that is rooted in people first,” said Davis. “He has shown he is a remarkable X and O coach, but I was impressed in the interview process with his beliefs as a man and how they align with the Misericordia charisms.”

A native of Copperas Cove, Texas, Price spent last season as the assistant head coach/offensive coordinator at Iowa Wesleyan University.

In addition to being named the 2020 Iowa Wesleyan Recruiter of the Year, he led the Tigers to a 17 points per game increase in offensive productivity in 2021. The Tigers also increased their passing yards per game from 113.5 to 296.5 ypg and total offense from 173.6 to 361.2 yards per game.

“What he did in his time at Iowa Wesleyan got my attention as he boosted production from six points per game to 23.5 points per game,” said Davis. “I think this is the system that we need to create our identity to further our race for a MAC championship.”

Prior to Iowa Wesleyan, Price served as the offensive line coach at Oklahoma Panhandle State University.

He spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach in charge of offensive line, tight ends and fullbacks at Jackson State.

A high school teammate of Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III, Price was a three-year starter for head coach Hal Mumme at McMurry University.

A team captain at McMurry, he was named a second-team All-American at center.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and earned his master’s degree in accounting from Texas A & M.

Price comes to Dallas with his wife, Madison.
